One of the most superb paintings of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III
The painting “Cat of Unique Charm” was created in 1991 and belongs to the “Fangfa School,” one of the 16 schools of painting founded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III . Except H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III , no one else can paint using this marvellous technique. Magical appeal underlies this painting. This creative technique comes from a state of wisdom. That is why it is not an ordinary painting. The accompanying scene near the cat was painted with only a small number of brush strokes yet contains the style of stone seals and an air of scholarship. Both the form and spirit of the scene are captured. This work is truly one in which ink was masterfully used in a sparing way. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has decided not to make this genre of magically charming paintings anymore. He has not since created another work of unsurpassed artistry in this same genre. Thus, this painting is a form of art that has been discontinued. One of the one hundred limited release copies of this small-scale painting “Cat of Unique Charm” sold at auction for US$253,000, which is the highest per square foot selling price of any duplicate painting in the world. The prices of sold duplicate paintings by the most famous first-rate masters of art in the world cannot match the prices of sold duplicate paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III .
Since the announcement of the news that Namo Dorje Chang Buddha IIIand Fomu, Holy Mother the Great Mahasattva, have borne dark karmas for living beings and entered parinirvana, human and heavenly beings have been weeping in grief. Buddhist disciples all over the world are praying whole-heartedly to beseech Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III and Fomu, Holy Mother the Great Mahasattva, to return to this world to save us living beings from our sufferings.
Unsurprisingly, some evil swindlers have taken advantage of the situation and started their ruses. To protect the public from being deceived, the Office ofHis Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha IIIhereby announces as follows:
1. All the expenses for this Buddhist event are being paid for exclusively by Dharma King Jinba 金巴法王 and Dharma King Mohe 摩訶法王. The two Dharma Kings did not entrust any organizations or individuals to crowdfund or fundraise. Both Dharma Kings also do not accept any offerings or donations! They will not accept even a single penny!
2. This Buddhist event is presided over and managed by Dharma King Jinba; all matters are handled by the Dharma King personally. Nobody has been entrusted to handle anything on behalf of Dharma King Jinba. If the Dharma King were to have you to handle a certain matter, the Dharma King will definitely speak to you in person or tell you directly over the phone. If anyone claims to be relaying messages, giving notifications, or handling any tasks on behalf of the Dharma King, they are lying! What they say is all deception! You must seek verification through the Office of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III.
3. All teachings by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III are contained in the audio-recorded Dharma Discourses, Dharma manuals, published Sutras, and in the “128 Evil and Erroneous Views.” Some people have taken advantage of the grief and distress of Buddhist disciples to create opportunities for themselves to gain fame and fortune, saying that Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III or Fomu, Holy Mother the Great Mahasattva, privately told them certain things, or instructed them to do certain things; or they say that they want to do something for Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III and Fomu, Holy Mother the Great Mahasattva, and so forth. What those people say is not to be trusted. They are deceiving people! Those are often their ploys to deceive others so as to reap their own benefits. Everyone must be very clear-headed about this. Otherwise, by the time you have been swindled, it will be too late for regret!
4. There is also one person who, for the sake of elevating their own reputation, even claims that when Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III imparted the “xx Sutra” some years ago, His Holiness the Buddha was indicating that He was about to leave this world. This person has the audacity to slander His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III and deceive the public for the sake of vaunting themself. They are simply filled with dark karma! Even Great Bodhisattvas would not know about what the Buddha does, how could a sinful ordinary being know? Let’s ask: If you knew when the Buddha would enter parinirvana, then do you know when you will die? We clearly tell everybody that this person does not understand the meaning of Buddha Dharma, and they don’t even have any compassion. They don’t even have the most fundamental goodness, sincerity, or gratitude that a Buddhist would have toward Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III and Fomu, Holy Mother the Great Mahasattva. All this person has is a body full of karmic hindrances. If this kind of person continues to slander and stir up rumors, they will not be permitted to enter the Holy Miracles Temple! Any Buddhist disciples who listen to and believe what such a person says, who also follow this person, will only increase their own dark karma that will foil them from attaining liberation and accomplishment.
5. To pray for the return of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III and Fomu, Holy Mother the Great Mahasattva, to this world by resolving to conduct life releases and to do good deeds are the things that all Buddhists should do, and they are meritorious. The two Dharma Kings have conducted life releases with their own money. However, the Dharma Kings did not organize other people to conduct life releases, nor did they ever crowdfund to conduct life releases! If any organizations, groups, or individuals want to conduct life releases or do any kinds of good deeds, these activities must be well organized, lawful, and be done in accordance with Buddha Dharma and ritual. It is also essential to take precautions to prevent anybody from taking advantage of the situation to swindle others!
6. Only the announcements published by the Office of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III are factual, reliable, and accurate sources of information.
(弟子釋迦 Shakya 恭敬合掌回答說:I don’t know specifically what 佛陀師父 wants to know. From my understanding, Buddhism is about the suffering of Samsara, anattā, no self, the dependent suffering of samsara, no self, and emptiness. Everything that arises has no inherent nature. And so right now, we have suffering because of we misunderstand the reality. So, reality has no inherent existence, and we think that it’s real, and we have a lot of attachment to the samsara. So, when we understand that, the nature of samsara is actually emptiness, then we will attain nirvana. So, the question is now, to understand what is emptiness? So, we a lot of people misunderstand what is emptiness, it’s really not like everything exists or doesn’t exist.)
(佛弟子釋迦恭敬合掌提問說:At this point, I beseech Your Holiness the Buddha to impart Dharma. Recently, some people have been asking about this. They cannot understand why Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform can demonstrate holy realization power. They also said that world class strongmen are indeed unable to achieve the level that a Buddhist Holy Guru can. However, don’t evil demons also have formidable power? Then evil demons can also lift a very heavy Pestle. I beseech the Buddha to impart Dharma on this.)
(佛弟子釋迦恭敬合掌回答說:Yes. May I beseech Your Holiness the Buddha to impart one more Dharma? We all know that Your Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III is a true Buddha, teaching true Buddha Dharma, representing the entire Buddhism. However, in society today, there are still some Buddhists who don’t understand this. They keep saying that the Buddha Master is Esoteric Buddhism, or something else. So, how to enable them to understand this? I beseech the Buddha to kindly impart Dharma.)
(佛弟子釋迦恭敬合掌回答說:I am very grateful to Your Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III for imparting Dharma for us living beings. This is the truth that only the Buddha can impart.)
On April 3, 2008, a solemn and dignified book-launching ceremony was held at the Library of Congress of the United States; on occasion of the first release of a fact-recording book entitledH.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, jointly published by the World Buddhism Publishing LLC and the World Dharma Voice, Inc. At the same time, the book was formally accepted into the collection of the Library of Congress of the United States. From then on, people came to know that the widely respected Master Wan Ko Yee, the one who has been recognized and corroborated through official written documents issued by top leaders, regent dharma kings, and great rinpoches of major Buddhist sects throughout the world; actually, is the third incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the primordial Buddha. Ever since, people address the Buddha by the name Dorje Chang Buddha III. This is similar to the precedent regarding the name of Sakyamuni Buddha—before Sakyamuni Buddha attained Buddhahood, His name was Prince Siddhartha Gotama. Once Prince Siddhartha Gotama attained Buddhahood, He was thereafter addressed as “Namo Sakyamuni Buddha.”On December 12, 2012, in the Senate Resolution No. 614 of the United States Congress, the title “His Holiness” was officially used with the name Dorje Chang Buddha III; the Buddha was addressed as “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.” Since then, the title H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was definitively affirmed.“Dorje Chang Buddha III” is a statutory name; used in all official documents issued by the United States Government; such as passport, identity card, and social security documents. The previous name “Wan Ko Yee” is no longer valid, with no legal-binding effect, and no longer recognized by governments. “Dorje Chang Buddha III” is the only name in use.
The conferment of the Pope of Buddhism to His HolinessDorje ChangBuddha IIIoriginated in January 2018 when the World Peace Prize Awarding Council and World Peace Prize Religious Leaders Title Awarding Council passed the resolution to confer to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III the title of Pope of Buddhism, the highest leader of Buddhism in this world. However, His Holiness the Buddha refused to accept the conferment.
For the sake of propagating Buddha Dharma and benefitting living beings, the World Buddhism Association Headquarters took the liberty to accept the conferment decree and the Pope of Buddhism Scepter. When the World Buddhism Association Headquarters respectfully presented the Pope of Buddhism Scepter and conferment decree to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, His Holiness the Buddha III said: “I see that on top of this Scepter is the seated Shakyamuni Buddha, we should be respectful to Namo Shakyamuni Buddha.” His Holiness the Buddha then raised the Scepter above His head and made a symbolic closed palm gesture with one hand to express His respects. However, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III also expressed that He is just a humble cultivator and resolutely would not accept such a conferment. Hence, His Holiness the Buddha immediately returned the conferment decree and the Pope of Buddhism Scepter to the two Councils.
On September 23, 2020, the World Peace Prize Awarding Council and World Peace Prize Religious Leaders Title Awarding Council passed an ultimate joint resolution, determining that the return of the Pope of Buddhism Scepter and conferment decree by H.H. DorjeChang Buddha IIIwas not effectible. On September 24, the joint Chair of the World Peace Prize Awarding Council and World Peace Prize Religious Leaders Title Awarding Council Suzi Leggett made the ultimate announcement at the Holy Miracles Temple of the World Buddhism Association Headquarters: “Over the past several decades, the World Peace Prize Awarding Council has presented the World Peace Prize to presidents, spiritual leaders, and prime ministers of many nations, including President Ronald Reagan, Hon. Mahatma Gandhi, and H.E. Yitzhak Rabin. There has never been a precedence of an award being retracted or returned. All determinations made and implemented by our Councils are very solemn, serious, and absolutely cannot be changed. The return of the Pope of Buddhism Scepter and conferment decree by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is deemed not effectible. The title, status, and authority of the Pope of Buddhism belong only to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, and cannot be exercised by anyone else.” Chair Leggett once again requested that the World Buddhism Association Headquarters accept and present to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III the Pope of Buddhism Scepter and conferment decree that His Holiness the Buddha previously returned.
Representing the World Buddhism Association Headquarters, Venerable Mozhi Rinpoche accepted the conferment decree and Pope of Buddhism Scepter. He said during his speech, “The World Buddhism Association Headquarters considers that the decision made by the two Councils is remarkably proper and sagacious.
“Ever since Namo Shakyamuni Buddha entered parinirvāṇa, there has not been a supreme leader who has the authority to guide all Buddhists the same way that the Buddha did. However, the authoritative position of the Pope of Buddhism certainly is not a role that a leader of a single Buddhist sect would have the attributes to fulfill; rather, the Pope must be a leader who has authority over the entirety of Buddhism, namely, a Buddha.
“Namo H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III holds the perfect teachings of Buddhism and meets the criteria used by all Buddhist sects to recognize a Buddha. His inherent nature is in accord with that of a Buddha. His unsurpassed, complete, and perfect enlightenment is in accord with that of a Buddha. Just based on the accomplishment of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in Lifting the Pestle onto the Platform, surpassing His own base weight standard by 59 levels, no one else can possibly reach such a record.
“The state of virtue of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is that of a Buddha. His Holiness the Buddha has perfect mastery of Exoteric and Esoteric Buddhism, perfect accomplishments in the Five Vidyas, and so forth, all of which accord with the unsurpassed, complete, and perfect enlightenment of a Buddha.
“In more than 2,000 years, there has not been a Buddhist Holy Guru in this world who possesses the same Buddha level qualities. Just by the facts that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III vowed and carries out the vow to benefit living beings purely on a voluntary basis and does not accept any offerings throughout His entire life, and that He possesses perfect wisdom and unimpeded accomplishments, no other Holy Guru can be of comparison. Only Namo H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III can take on this immensely noble, holy, and heavy responsibility of the Pope of Buddhism, to properly guide Buddhists onto the correct path of learning Buddhism.
“Therefore, on behalf of Buddhists, the World Buddhism Association Headquarters thanks the World Peace Prize Awarding Council and the World Peace Prize Religious Leaders Title Awarding Council for having made the ultimate decision.”
H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha IIIis selfless and noble, and the first person in Buddhism to possess substantive holy realization power of a Buddha and perfectly flawless accomplishments at the pinnacle of the Five Vidyas. These are the qualities that no other eminent Buddhist monastic or virtuous person in this world has so perfectly attained. It is naturally a matter of course that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the veritable Pope of Buddhism.

On July 28th, 2003, in Washington D.C., the Congress of the United States and the Organization of American States held a Yun Sculpture Exhibition in the Rayburn building at the Capitol. Those sculptures were praised by attending Congresspersons and dignitaries as being a great contribution to mankind, miraculously surpassing the beauty of natural creations, reflecting the highest and most refined level of art possible, and treasures from heaven.
His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III also has developed sixteen unique and innovative styles of painting, which are described as below.

Such paintings are even more lifelike, appealing, detailed, and beautiful than the actual subjects they portray.

The Explanation of the Buddha’s Title “H H Dorje Chang Buddha III”
Disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III
Buddhists belong to a religious belief that understands the universe’s nature of no-birth and no-annihilation and human beings’ original nature of true such-ness are one and the same. They believe in the cycle of transmigration driven by the law of cause and effect. They believe that after one’s biological death, the spirit or soul will incarnate and be reborn into a new being. In the case of the primordial Buddha, He has now incarnated to this world for the third time as His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. The highest spiritual leader in Buddhism alive today currently lives in the United States of America. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III is not one who seeks publicity. Even when awarded the Presidential Gold Award, the Dr. Martin Luther King Legacy Award for International Service and Leadership, and many other prestigious prizes, He did not attend the award ceremonies to receive the prizes in person.
The accomplishments and contributions of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are extremely comprehensive. The book entitled H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III published in 2008 shows some of the accomplishments of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in thirty different main categories. Within the one category of painting and calligraphic artistry alone, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has created Chinese paintings, oil paintings, different styles of calligraphy, etc. In addition to being able to paint in the styles of the currently existing schools of painting, such as the Realism School, the Abstract School, the Line School, the Impressionist School, and other schools, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has independently originated sixteen unique schools of painting. They are called: 1) the Chaoshi School; 2) the Chouxiang Yunwei School; 3) the Wenfeng School; 4) the Fangfa School; 5) the Menglong School; 6) the Xiangtong School; 7) the Fanjuan School; 8) the Puomo Xiantiao Xiezhen School; 9) the Weiyin School; 10) the Fanpu School; 11) the Miaoxie School; 12) the Puomo Weiyun School; 13) the Kuangxi School; 14) the Yousi School; 15) the Banqi School; and 16) the Houdui Sekuai School (Thickly Piled Patches of Color School).
Many famous painters spent their entire lives focusing on one kind of artistic subject or theme in order to establish their own school of that one style. However, not only did H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III found sixteen schools of painting, He also developed the style of each school to a state of perfect artistry. This has naturally resulted in the distinct school of painting called “The H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III School of Multiple Styles,” which no painter in history can match!
At the fourth session of the World Poets and Culture Conference held in Hungary in 1994, more than 5,600 experts and scholars representing 48 countries and regions unanimously approved conferring upon H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III the title “Distinguished International Master,” which has an honorific status comparable to a head of state. The certificate was signed by Sir Juan Antonio Samaranch, the then President of the International Olympic Committee.
On February 10, 2004 the Royal Academy of Arts of the United Kingdom conferred upon H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III the title of “Fellow,” a title never before conferred in the history of that academy. The Royal Academy of Arts in the United Kingdom was founded in 1768 by the then King of Britain, George III. That academy has received the patronage and support of the royal family up to this day. Professor Phillip King, President of the Royal Academy, awarded the Certificate of Fellow to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III at the British Embassy in Washington, DC. The cultural counselor of the embassy attended the award ceremony in person. Professor Phillip King said, “This is the first artist to receive this title in the more than 200-year history of the Royal Academy of Arts in the United Kingdom.”
Since the year 2000, paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III have repeatedly broken price records in art markets, selling for the highest prices for paintings by any living artist. The market price has now reached more than US$1,000,000 per square foot. Moreover, market prices recorded at international art auctions and evidence of sales prove that limited release copies of paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are sold at the world’s highest prices, reaching over US$380,000 each, thus surpassing copies of paintings by Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, and other extremely famous painters in the world.
Many works of art by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are exhibited at the International Art Museum of America, which is a non-profit public-benefit art museum located in downtown San Francisco in the United States. Furthermore, the International Art Museum of America is offering to buy paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in the style of the Thickly Piled Patches of Color School at a price of over US$1,000,000 per square foot. However, it is still very hard to find any such paintings offered for sale.
The true appearance of the subject portrayed is changed in these captivating ink-wash paintings, resulting in an unconventional image that both looks like yet does not look like the actual subject.

True Source of Calligraphy and Painting (書畫真源)
This painting called “True Source of Calligraphy and Painting” was inscribed with the name “Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu” also known as H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha Ш. It was painted in Los Angeles, California and clearly reveals the artist’s talent. Mastery is found in each brush stroke. The artist’s profound and extensive erudition and calligraphic skills permeate the painting. Free from worldly conventions and devoid of garishness, this work engenders its own style of painting called the “Wenfeng” style. It points out the path leading to the true source of calligraphy and painting. The entire painting is filled with an air of scholarliness.
This painting depicts a real scene from life using a casual painting method that captures the natural feel of the scene. The brushwork expresses a cultured, scholarly tone as well as a lively, spirited charm. A cicada in cold weather is perched high upon a thick branch. The image is so lifelike and natural. The cicada was painted in fine, delicate brush-work. The key to the appeal of this artwork is that it was painted in a casual manner yet is natural-looking and lacks any trace of the mundane. We can see from this painting that the artistry of H.H.Dorje Chang Buddha III matured very early. Although He created“The Sound of a Cicada”in His early years, seasoned and vigorous brushwork skills are vividly presented.
